Palermo Nightlife
January 9, 2012
Most of the cafes, which do not serve alcohol, can be found in the historical centre of Palermo. If you require something stronger you have a choice of good places to go such as Au Domino and Cambio Cavalli which is one of the first pubs in Palermo. Then you have the American Bar up on the top floor of Grande Albergo Sole, Fancy looking over the rooftops of Palermo then you should go to Corso Vittorio Emanuele 291 where they have a roof terrace bar. Bottiglieria del Massimo is a wine bar with outdoor seating. For cocktails go to Bar Fiera Vecchia.
If live music is your thing try The Crazy Bull a pub with traditional American decor and live music in Italian, American, English and South american. Up and coming vocalists can be heard at the Bier Garten and the Malox. At the Piazzette della Cana you’ll find a big bar with live music but perhaps not every night.
For those of you who like clubs where you can dance the night away you will not be disappointed. Most popular clubs are Tonnara Florio in the old district of Arenella, Anticlea Club, Kursaal Kalesa Club along the promenade of Foro Italico. The Country Club is fantastic in Summertime as it has open air dance floors.
If your taste is for Classical music and the theatre you have not been left out. The Teatro Massimo has classical music, ballet and opera. Palermo has a good variety of nightlife for everyone.
